An associate professor in the College of Health and Human Sciences at Kansas State University, Dr. Erin Martinez holds a bachelor’s degree from Purdue University and a Ph.D. from the University of Kentucky. Martinez works to promote health, well-being, and optimal aging via community-based interventions for improving the social determinants of health. During her time at Kansas State University, Martinez has been designated a University Civic Engagement Fellow, served as a national fellow in health and wellness, won numerous prestigious national awards in her field, and currently serves as an editor of a well-known academic journal.
