The main reason we chose Arbor Rose of Monicello was because of the family atmosphere. I would tell others looking into any facility to make sure and look for the care that is received, and not just all of the perks.

Our family ended up touring Arbor Rose and Autumn Leaves, but not Amber Glen. We liked Arbor Rose, it seemed like a very nice facility but ultimately we didn't want to have to drive out of town to see my Dad, so we didn't choose them.

This community has been wonderful for our family, it has a very homey atmosphere to it that gives these residents the familiarity of home. Every single Sunday they have homemade fried chicken and mashed potatoes and every single meal is homecooked. The families are always encouraged to come and join their loved ones for meal time. They have a living room with a TV, a dining room with nice place sets, and the entire back half of the community is full of things for activities and other TV with recliners. We would recommend to other families based on the experience we have had.

We love Arbor Rose It's truly a home-like atmosphere. They make you feel like family. And they're taking great care of my mom. It's a much better place than where she was before.

Quite a different feel to it. More security to it. It was very busy.

We think it's great. Going through this is very hard, but they make it very easy for you. They work with you and tell you every step as you go, and they make it as easy as possible. My mom is very happy with the food. They have plenty of activities. For Halloween, they invited kids to come in in their costumes, and they had some Christmas activities. They do a lot of things to get the residents up and out of their rooms. It's expensive, but I think it's a good value.

We chose Arbor Rose of Monticello because the location was good, we liked the way that the facility looked, and the staff were very friendly. The price was also a big factor for us. The staff were very helpful and worked with us as much as possible and were great with communication. We were very pleased with our experience and I would recommend to others.

My husband has dementia and I wanted a place that was more for mental health than a true nursing home. Arbor Rose is that place. The do not have a large occupancy which allows them to provide individual attention. My husband is doing better there than he was at home. They made the transition a lot easier than I thought it would be and they have catered to his eating habits.

They are wonderful! The size is great. It's a small facility so the patient care is better and more direct. And they have a true home cooked meal 2x a day.

There have been several altercations between the staff themselves forcing police intervention. The staff involved fired and hired at other locations; Inturn, sent back to the Monticello Location to cover staffing issues which there have been resident injuries following requiring hospitalization and surgery. In my opinion, this clearly was upsetting to my loved one. It’s situations like this factual occurrence that in my opinion impacted residents care. The meals are late, and frequently outside the dietary needs of residents. There is usually a scramble to the grocery store or a fast food establishment on a regular basis for the last couple of years by the RN who doubles as the registered dietician. They don’t provide tissues or toilet paper nor do regular housekeeping. They are overcharging for the service they say we’re going to provide our loved one. The pricing is inconsistent. They will bring you in at one rate & bring another resident in at a higher or lower rate.
