Quite impressed. They had a room and provided balloons and banner for my brothers birthday. Place always decorated for the holidays with residence function. Several activities each month and family invited. Love website that post pics of activities. Place clean and staff friendly and caring

My mother is very happy here. The entire staff seem friendly and are always helpful whenever I or other members of my family have questions or requests. Mom is well looked after. She especially enjoys the afternoon activities. On a recent visit I sat in on the Bingo game. [name removed] was running the games and I was very impressed with how active she was in ensuring all the residents were able to participate and enjoy themselves.

I am from Windber, I woke up in Pittsburgh. And my children found this place for me and with all the staff help I'm getting my brain better All the staff are all excellent caregivers . And our activities are second to none, [removed name] goes above and beyond!

We moved my 90+ yr old mother her a few months ago, as she could stay in her house anymore. She has improved her health and mental well being dramatically. Abode care keeps her busy with activities and physical therapy. For Halloween, they had residents families come in costume and the children were allowed to trick or treat in the dining area. Everyone enjoyed the festivities and interacted well. All the staff are friendly and diligent with the residents. My mom loves when they just stop by to say hi, or take her to the activities.

Abode CARE of Monroeville has provided my brother with excellent service and personalized care. I live 1,500 miles away, and I rely on the staff to provide my brother with all of his needs. I speak with my brother several times every week, and he is always pleased with the care he receives, with the friendly attention that the staff provides, and the good food.

I visit my family member frequently at Abode Care Monroeville. I have been there several times during activities. The activities director [removed name] is wonderful. She is very engaging. The staff are great about getting the residents to join in the activities. All of the staff are wonderful about talking kindly to the residents always using their first names and speaking kindly. There is one employee, [removed name] who is absolutely amazing. He is so kind and so gentle with the residents. This kind of work is difficult and not everyone is meant to care for those who can’t care for themselves but [removed name] is a genuine caregiver.

I enjoy the company of othersl I enjoy all the activities we have here!!! I enjoy the other residents as well as the staff. They also have a very good selection of meals. If I were to recommend a family member to come here I would think it would be a great decision.

All the nurses are very attentive and caring. They have a genuine interest in the residents and their well-being. The activities director is extremely outgoing and has many fun activities that will often include family members of the residents. If we have questions about any medical issue, the assistant medical director is very open and attentive to our concerns. So very glad we found this facility. My mother is very happy with the care she gets.

All the staff members are very friendly and treat the residents like family. They are always checking in on residents and asking if they need anything. The events coordinator is fantastic, so energetic and keeps the residents excited and engaged. It's always a stressful decision but when you visit you feel more comfortable that loved ones are being well cared for. THANK YOU!

My mom has been at Abode for over 2 years and I feel very comfortable and trust the staff to take good care of her with all of her needs. [name removed], [name removed], [name removed]and [name removed] are some of the staff I've gotten to know over this time and are great at their jobs. They take time out to get to know the residents and can tell if there's something off and may need to be addressed with their health. [name removed] that does the activities and more has been a blessing since she started working there. When I come to visit. She seems to always have a nice group of people in on what she's doing and keeps them engaged with several things throughout the week! I also would say all the employees that I have dealt with their have always been very friendly and helpful.

My mom enjoys the activities and social events, which help keep her engaged and uplifted. Overall, Abode has given me peace of mind knowing she is cared for by people who genuinely want the best for her.

My dad has only been a resident here for the last month, but he has received excellent care. The place is clean and well maintained. The staff are friendly and helpful. I would recommend this place for anyone looking for care for their family member.

The facility is lovely and obviously designed with the senior population in mind. The building is very easy to navigate, very light, bright and cheery. Most impressive are the spacious bathrooms walk-in roll in showers. Everything is spotlessly clean. Food service might leave a little to be desired. The facility is nothing without a great staff and my experience so far has been exceptional with the Manager, director of admissions and director of nursing. They have been very attentive to my dad's personal needs, are very responsive to questions and it is obvious they want to make living at Atrium a great experience for the resident. The in-house physical therapy and occupational therapy has kept me updated on Dad's progress and Dad absolutely loved both therapists that have worked with him. I see his strength has definitely improved. Overall, this has been a great experience at a very difficult time in my father's life. Thank you to all at Atrium.

Sometimes they are short staffed. It is very clean, and mom likes the food. I would recommend to others who are currently searching for a place for their loved one.

My Mom has been a resident of Abode of Allentown since [time frame removed] Leaving her home of 65 years, it was not an easy transition however the staff at Abode did all that they could to make her comfortable and to ensure that she felt safe and secure. The staff encourages the residents to participate in many daily activities and trips off premises. Abode is clean and Mom has no complaints about the food that they serve. We are very pleased with care that she receives there.

The Atrium is kept very clean and the lighting is wonderful and welcoming. The staff has been wonderful. One thing, on occasion some of the staff will buy in to the residents that they are board, nothing to do, bingo ?? according to the residents. They can't feed into that with them. They need to be trained to turn that negative around and be positive!! With them. Example: We were there having pizza with my mother in law and the staff start agreeing with her that the food was terrible.... at the Atrium instead of giving some suggestions on how to make it better. We wish it was closer to us.

The Atrium of Allentown is a whole different vibe than your typical senior care facility and that is just one if the reasons I love working here! The building is aesthetically pleasing, but that is just the beginning. When you enter into the front lobby, you are greeted with a comfortable shabby chic decor that instantly makes you feel like you’ve walked into a warm, welcoming home. I am often told that the energy in our building is palpable & I won’t say that I’m not biased… our staff IS awesome! We are younger than the staff you might find in a “normal” senior care facility & our energy is contagious. We love our residents and we show them every single day: the delicious meals we serve, the programming & activities that we provide and participate in and top notch care by our Wellness Team. I urge you to visit the Atrium of Allentown and see for yourself why we proudly refer to our community as the Crown of Senior Living!

Had a great experience visiting this location to see my family, grounds are amazing, residents all seemed so happy and staff was so friendly and accommodating!

Atrium of Allentown is a beautiful community. When you walk in you are greeted by modern stylings and friendly faces. Everyone I encountered had smiles on and looked genuinely happy to be working in the building. Residents were well taken care of and engaged in lots of wonderful activities. I think the community is a must see!
